I didn’t expect much from my first breathwork workshop. I thought it would be a bunch of people lying around, breathing dramatically, and maybe someone would cry. Spoiler alert: I was the one who cried.
Breathwork isn’t just about breathing; it’s about releasing. During that session, I realised how much creative pressure I’d been holding in. As I focused on my breath, all the tension melted away, and I felt lighter—mentally and emotionally.
Conscious Connected Breathing, in particular, is powerful for creatives. It helps clear out the mental clutter that builds up when you’re constantly trying to produce something new. After that workshop, I felt like I’d hit the reset button on my creativity.
If you ever get the chance to attend a breathwork workshop, go for it. You might just find that what you need isn’t another coffee—it’s a good, deep breath.
