The Creative’s Guide to Breathwork: Find Flow When You’re Feeling Stuck

conor032

Flow is that magical state where everything clicks. Ideas come effortlessly, time flies, and you feel completely in the zone. But when you’re stuck, finding flow can feel impossible.

That’s where breathwork comes in. By calming your nervous system and boosting oxygen flow to your brain, breathwork helps you slip into that state of flow more easily.

Here’s a simple at-home breathwork routine to try:

  1. Find a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed.

  2. Set a timer for five minutes.

  3. Breathe in through your nose for four counts, then out through your mouth for six counts.

  4. Keep a steady rhythm and focus on the sensation of your breath.

By the end of those five minutes, you’ll likely feel more centered and ready to dive back into your work.

Finding flow isn’t about forcing it. It’s about creating the right conditions—and breathwork is one of the best tools to do just that.
